Converting a carrier PDF into a workable Xactimate scope is a paid industry. That should tell you what the hour of retyping is actually worth.
Because the converter is one claim, and RoofGrid runs the whole claim: the measurement, the estimate, the e-signed contract, the revised estimates, the deadlines. We think a few of the people who use this will want the rest. That is the whole catch.

Xactimate reads only its own encrypted file, and Verisk is the only one who can write that, so nobody outside their partner program hands you an importable .esx. Ours is the open ESX format, which other estimating tools read. The part that saves you the night is the CSV: every line off the PDF with its code, quantity, unit and price, ready to key in without reading the scope twice.
