Turn any estimate PDF into an Xactimate file.

The adjuster wrote the scope in Xactimate and sent you a PDF. Rebuilding it line by line is a night of typing, and the services that do it for you charge $35 to $100 a file. Upload the PDF here and get the .esx plus a full line-item CSV back free.

Built for storm contractors, supplementers, and adjusters. No account, no card, no per-file bill.

The PDF itself is never stored; we keep only the parsed line items, to build your files. Not affiliated with Verisk or Xactimate.

How it works

PDF in. Importable file out.

The hour of retyping between the carrier's PDF and your supplement, gone.

1

Upload the PDF

The carrier estimate, the adjuster scope, or your own estimate printout. Text PDFs parse in seconds; scanned ones get read by AI.

2

Check the lines on screen

Every line item, quantity, unit, and price, plus suggested Xactimate category codes, laid out so you can eyeball it against the PDF.

3

Get the .esx by email

The Xactimate-importable file plus the full line-item CSV land in your inbox. Import, supplement, get paid.

What this costs elsewhere

The market charges for this. We give it away.

Converting a carrier PDF into a workable Xactimate scope is a paid industry. That should tell you what the hour of retyping is actually worth.

Why free?

Because the converter is one claim, and RoofGrid runs the whole claim: the measurement, the estimate, the e-signed contract, the supplement tracking, the deadlines. We think a few of the people who use this will want the rest. That is the whole catch.

Will it import into Xactimate?

The file uses the open ESX format. If your Xactimate build rejects an import, reply to the delivery email with what it said and we will fix it; the CSV carries every line either way, so the rebuild work is saved regardless.

What PDFs does it read?

Carrier estimates, adjuster and public adjuster scopes with RCV, depreciation and O&P columns, and contractor-style estimates with split remove and replace rates. Scanned PDFs are read by AI and flagged for a manual check.

The converter is one claim. RoofGrid runs the whole claim.
